Volunteer Vitality

Forgiven Ministry stands as a vibrant, Christ-centered ministry that thrives on the unwavering support of our dedicated volunteers. Prayer, a fundamental pillar of our success, permeates every aspect of our work. Prior to each camp, we invite our volunteers to delve into our comprehensive toolkit, which provides vital information specific to the camp they are volunteering for. Within this toolkit, we encourage our volunteers to devote time to prayer, as we believe it to be essential for the triumph of every One Day With God (ODWG) Camp.

The Importance of Prayer

Forgiven Ministry believes in the priority and importance of prayer.  This ministry is involved in the supernatural work of taking the Gospel into the dark world of incarceration, and we desperately need the power of God to empower us and sustain us as we share God’s truth with inmates and their families.  Prayer is the believer’s heart-cry to God, asking Him to intervene in the lives of those we serve.  Prayer is the believer’s privilege and ability to confidently “draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” (Hebrews 4:16)

We invite you to become a prayer warrior for this ministry.  Listed below are the areas of prayer covering that you can pray for in a specific manner.  As you pray, remember that you are calling out to the Almighty God “who is able to do far more abundantly that all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us” (Ephesians 3:20)

Prayers For Impact

Prayer is essential at the One Day With God Camp, particularly for the children of incarcerated parents. It fosters spiritual growth, provides comfort, and creates a sense of unity. Prayer offers guidance, solace, and a supportive community, making it a vital component in supporting these children during their time at the camp.

ODWG Camp Prayers

Here are the prayers we encourage our volunteers to engage in before and during the One Day With God Camp. These prayers serve as a foundation for their involvement and contribute to the meaningful experience we strive to create for everyone involved.
