Our latest One Day With God camp was in Abilene, Texas, and it was an incredible experience. One of the most remarkable aspects of the camp was the facility’s outstanding hospitality and seamless collaboration with our team. Below is a note from one of the leaders sharing their reflections on the experience.

Mitch-

Please share with all and know that each of you are loved beyond measure.

Thank you for what you do, visiting our facility, and taking time out of your lives to change those of others, including me! Each of you are angels, and you are always welcome at our facility. Your dedication and commitment truly mean the world to us.

The distance you travel and the effort you put into coming here just to change the life of one person is nothing short of extraordinary. It speaks volumes about the compassion and kindness that drive you and your team. Your willingness to go the extra mile, quite literally, to touch the hearts of those in need is a testament to the incredible impact you have on our lives.

We pray that this is the best unit you visit, as we want you to feel comfortable and welcomed as family. Your presence brings hope, healing, and inspiration to all of us, and we are deeply grateful for the positive changes you bring into our lives.

Again, thank you for what you do, and we look forward to next year. Your continued support and dedication are invaluable, and we are honored to have you as a part of our community.

YOUR ROBERTSON FAMILY!

Stories like these remind us of the transformative power of shared moments and genuine care. We’re deeply grateful for the partnership and warmth extended by the Abilene facility. Their support not only makes these events possible, but also amplifies our mission of bringing hope and restoration to those in need. Thank you to everyone involved in making this a truly impactful camp experience.

As I close, I want to highlight another amazing happening of this particular camp—the conversion of one inmate who was formerly Muslim. For fourteen years, some of our volunteers had been working with him, and on Saturday morning—the day of the camp—he accepted Christ. He not only confessed his new faith during the pre-camp meeting with the men and a few volunteers, but later that day, he declared it in front of the entire camp. Praise God! I understand that he had even served as a leader in his former religion within the prison.

God powerfully showed up once again! As a brother once told me, “It may seem like He’s late, but He’s always on time.”

You are loved!

Les
