Every time I participate in a “One Day With God” camp, I leave knowing I’ve done something deeply meaningful for the Lord. These camps are more than just a single event—they have a lasting impact on the lives of children, parents, and volunteers alike. We recently received notebook from one of our prisons of heartfelt messages from the participants. It reminded me once again of the power of God’s love at work through these camps, transforming lives and creating memories that will last forever. Here’s a letter from one of the dads…
To everyone who is a part of the “One Day With God” program I want to send my deepest gratitude and love to you all. The event not only changed my mindset, but changed my life as well. I thought for sure being able to participate in the event, it was going to be the best day of my prison sentence, unfortunately I was wrong. It was the best day of my entire life!
The memories that I was able to create with my two children will be with me and them forever. My kids are already asking when can they come back and do the event again. I am extremely grateful for the gifts you guys bought for us to give to our children. My daughter has been sleeping with the blanket every single night and the football you guys got for my son he has been carrying it with him everywhere he goes.
Thank you so much to every volunteer, every staff member, and every single person that prayed for us. I am forever blessed and I will always have a permanent smile on my face due to this wonderful program. Then next time the event takes place I will make it my duty to sign up and take advantage of this great opportunity every chance I get.
Thanks to you guys, “One Day With God” has turned into “Lifetime With God” because I have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as my savior and I have welcomed him into my heart. Thank you….
Those who have attended our camps know firsthand how they create life-changing moments. It’s remarkable, but it takes resources to make it happen. To run the ministry, we estimate it costs around $250 per child, with 20 to 80 children typically participating.
