At Forgiven Ministry, we are continually inspired by the dedication and sincere contributions of our volunteers. Each camp is a testament to the transformative power of the Gospel and the power of Spirit-driven love. Recently, one of our long-time volunteers shared her experience from our latest One Day With God Camp at the Torres Unit. Her reflections highlight the profound impact our ministry has on both the inmates as well as the volunteers who serve them. Here are her words:
“I just wanted to let you know that this Torres camp was wonderful. Everybody pitched in to make things go smoothly. But what really stood out for me was the three volunteers who had been dads in our camps and had made parole and came back to serve. I have been blessed to serve with FM for 14 years and seems like we seldom hear about the dads who get out. To see those guys living productive lives with their families and serving God really moved me. And to see Pedro bring in his 18-year-old son with him was absolutely amazing! …so grateful for this ministry! We serve a mighty God!”
For us to have 6 former inmates return as volunteers, that’s wonderful! Only God can orchestrate such. It’s a powerful reminder of the change that is possible through faith, surrendered hearts and a community who is willing to lean into the fire to help. I think what I love most about this note is how it underscores the lasting impact of our ministry.
Such volunteer stories are a testament to the enduring power of God’s love. We are deeply grateful for every volunteer, and for the opportunity to witness such incredible transformations. Together, we continue to serve a mighty God, bringing light and hope to those who need it most.
You are loved!

Love serving with this special, dedicated lady.
Truly loved to read about the Torres camp. Seeing how lives have truly been transformed gives validation to how special the FM camps are. I feel blessed to be a small part of one of the camps. God bless you all.
